Bill Belichick sends stern warning to all Pittsburgh Steelers opponents

E.Wright1 hr ago
Pittsburgh Steelers opponents have still not figured out how to block T.J. Watt. Through three games, Watt has a sack in each Steelers victory , and while he is the most chipped player in the league, that has not stopped Watt from dominating games.

Legendary NFL head coach Bill Belichick has seen a commonality in many of the Steelers' opponents: their refusal to send much help to block Watt and Alex Highsmith.

"These teams that just let Highsmith and Watt run the edge and run the corner of them with no presence are just asking for trouble," Belichick said.

  • BETTING:
  • With his explosiveness and speed, Nick Herbig can be thrown right in with that group, too. Even with the chips, Watt has been able to beat tackles around the edge and still knock down their punch. That has allowed him and the rest of the interior defensive line to get one-on-one matchups and be successful.

The Steelers have won with four rather than sending blitzes. They rank just 27th in blitz rate but fourth in the NFL in pressure rate. That shows the effectiveness of the Steelers' blitzes over the first three games, and some of the lax attitudes toward Pittsburgh's pass rushers could be to blame for that.
