Debru Petrov OBITUARY
The Angels came for Debru and delivered her into the loving arms of her Heavenly Father, following a long illness. She was 51 and a longtime resident of Pasadena.
Debru was born and raised in Los Angeles and attended Eagle Rock High School. She earned an Associate Degree in Journalism at East Los Angeles College and worked as an intern for a local television station in Los Angeles. She then was employed at the Los Angeles County Housing Authority and to her current employer, FEMA, where her deployments would take her to disaster areas all across the country. Debru was very good at her job, had a big heart and took great pleasure in helping those in need.
Debru had some obstacles in her younger years but she persevered and overcame making her a stronger and more confident woman. She approached life with open arms and was not afraid to try new things. She was honest, respectful and a loving friend. Debru will be cherished and missed by all her friends and colleagues at FEMA.
Debru's mother, Sybil Line, a resident of Uruguay, preceded her daughter in passing.
A private service and celebration will be held with her closest and dearest friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
