Sports Eagles Interested In Haason Reddick Reunion?

The Philadelphia Eagles decided to trade away one of the best edge rushers in the league in the offseason. Haason Reddick became a New York Jet via trade. He was introduced to the New York media and was upbeat and positive and was looking forward to joining an already dominant defense.

Then the holdout started. He never reported mandatory minicamp or training camp and has been fined over $8 million at this point, which is more than half of his 2024 salary.

Even if he reported to the Jets today, he could only be able to earn about $6 million the rest of the season. Rumors start swirling about the Jets trading Reddick back to the Eagles, but according to John Kincade of "The Fanatics" on 97.5 in Philadelphia reveals they don't want him back.

"The Eagles don't want him back," Kincade said. "It doesn't matter - the Eagles didn't want him. The Eagles wanted him out. They had no interest in dealing with him money-wise or dealing with him.

"And, more importantly, you heard the deafening silence from his teammates – nobody gave a damn when he walked out the door."

The Eagles are embroiled in their own drama in Philadelphia, the last thing they need is a prima donna edge rusher causing more trouble.

The Birds will continue their season on Sunday in a matchup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Raymond James Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET.
