First responders to hold Battle of the Badges Blood Drive in Jefferson

MARION COUNTY, Texas ( KTAL/KSHV ) – Join first responders for the annual Battle of the Badges Blood Drive during the National Night Out celebration.

First responders across the county will face off on Oct. 1 at the W.F. Lockett Stadium Field House in Jefferson. Donate blood between 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. and receive a Battle of the Badges t-shirt while supplies last.

The blood drive is part of the county's National Night Out celebration in Jefferson. Kids will have the opportunity to take pictures with first responders sitting in helicopters, fire engines, ambulances, and patrol cars.

The event will offer free food, including hamburgers, hotdogs, drinks, ice cream, snow cones and popcorn. Guests will also have the chance to win some great door prizes. The National Night Out celebration is open to all ages.
