Question: In the 1960s, as America carried out the race to the moon and Gemini astronauts set the stage, do you know where the American astronauts depended for snacks, like candy bars?
Answer: It was Bloomington's Beich's candy factory (today, site of Ferrero USA) where a special, long-lasting candy bar was created by chemist Justin Alikonis, an Illinois Wesleyan University graduate.
