A Fort Myers man is on the run after failing to show up in court following an arrest for the possession of a controlled substance and driving with a license.

According to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers, 34-year-old Alejandro Zambrano has just over seven months behind bars.

He never showed up for his next court hearing.

Crime Stoppers said Zambrano has a lengthy criminal record with 16 previous bookings in Lee County, and three in Collier, for crimes that include burglary, battery, aggravated assault with a firearm, resisting, theft and parole violations.

He's also spent 11 years in prison after being found guilty of robbery.

Zambrano was last known to be living in Bonita and is likely still laying low in the area.

He is 5'8", 180 pounds, with a collection of tattoos to include a joker face on his right arm, MOB written on his left hand, G-Code inked on his left arm and Southside with a four-point crown drawn on his chest.
