WEST CHESTER, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has outlined the continuation of a comprehensive roadway construction project aimed at enhancing safety and traffic flow along the Business U.S. 322 (High Street) corridor in West Chester Borough and West Goshen Township, Chester County. From Monday, September 30, through Friday, October 4, motorists can expect periodic lane closures with flagging operations to occur from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. These closures will be implemented on Business U.S. 322 (High Street) stretching from Linden Street to Lacey Street. Drivers are urged to allocate extra travel time when navigating these areas due to the anticipated traffic delays and backups. It is important to note that all construction activities are contingent upon favorable weather conditions.
This ambitious project encompasses a variety of enhancements. PennDOT plans to install new traffic signals at the intersections of University Avenue and Sharpless Street, which will include vital signal support and associated equipment.
