GLENDALE, AZ - A very entertaining matchup is at hand on Sunday afternoon, as Kyler Murray and the Arizona Cardinals host the Washington Commanders and their rookie quarterback, Jayden Daniels.

  • The Commanders had limited expectations heading into the season, with many suspecting a rebuilding year with the reigning Heisman Trophy winner taking snaps. However, after a Week 1 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Washington has found a bit of a groove. After sneaking by the New York Giants two weeks ago, Daniels went off against the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday Night Football last week. The former LSU Tiger threw two touchdowns, rushing for another in a 38-33 win. There is still a lot of football to be played, but if Daniels' confidence continues to grow, the team around will start to believe as well.

Arizona seemed to have bounced back after an abysmal 2023 season. Murray and company gave the Buffalo Bills all they could handle in their season opener before hammering the Los Angeles Rams in Week 2. However, the team was stifled last week by the Detroit Lions' defense, leading to a tough 20-13 loss at home. The way the Cardinals have looked shows the team still has some work to do in order to be contenders in the NFC West, but they are not as far back as many expected.

This will be the 127th meeting between the Cardinals and Washington. The Commanders are 77-47-2 against Arizona, including winning last year's meeting in Maryland.

    MY PICK: Commanders win, 27-24
