Man dead after tree falls on home in Gibson County

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) — A man is dead after a tree fell on his home in Gibson County.
Officials with the Gibson County Sheriff's Office say the tree fell on the home Friday night and collapsed part of the house. The Gibson County Coroner has identified the man as 81-year-old Herman Paul Maier.
Officials say they believe weather to be a factor in the tree falling. They say rot was found at the base of the tree.
