Man Wounded in San Pedro Shooting

A person was hospitalized Saturday after being shot in San Pedro.
The shooting was reported about 6 p.m. Saturday at Gaffey Avenue and Santa Cruz Street, Los Angeles Police Department Officer Drake Madison told City News Service.
The male victim was unconscious when officers arrived at the scene, Morgan said. Paramedics took him to the hospital by ambulance and his condition was not available.
Officers set up a perimeter in hopes of locating the suspect who was described as a white man in his 20s dressed in black, Madison said.
Extra officers were summoned to the scene to manage a crowd that formed, he said.
