Oklahoma Food Truck Championships crowns champion, awards $10,000 grand prize

LAWTON, Okla. (KSWO) - One of the places to eat on Saturday was Chickasha as they hosted the 7th Annual Oklahoma Food Truck Championships.

Over 30 trucks got their chance to compete for a $10,000 grand prize with judges taste-testing food all day long, including 7News' very own Mark Lowe, who says he's very full from the experience.

Attendees and locals were invited out to enjoy all of the options as well as the smells.

An experience some were glad to have in the city of Chickasha.

"You know for a town like Chickasha, it's a lot of civic pride," said President of the Chickasha Chamber of Commerce, Jim Cowan. "Usually, to attend an event like this, they're going to have to go to the Oklahoma City Metro area or Lawton or some other larger area. The fact that they can stay right here in Chickasha, the citizens absolutely love it."
