PSNI Land Rover and IRA in Macklemore’s new pro-Palestine music video

Hind's Hall 2 is a protest song expressing solidarity with Palestine and condemning Israel's military campaign in Gaza.

Posting the track on X, the Washington rapper said all proceeds would go the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees.

The video features clips of pro-Palestine demonstrations from across the world, including Dublin, as well as graphic images from war-torn Gaza and the West Bank.

It also contains a short clip of a young man attacking a PSNI Land Rover with a heavy object, as well historic footage of IRA men in military fatigues drilling volley fire with rifles.

Macklemore has been a vocal supporter of the Palestinian cause since the outbreak of war in the region following the Hamas attacks on October 7 last year.

He was dropped from the Neon City music festival in Las Vegas the day before he released Hind's Hall 2 because of what organisers said were "unforeseen circumstances", having announced his inclusion just four days earlier.

The song is a follow-up to Hind's Hall, which was released as a single in May.

Hind's Hall 2 features Palestinian-American artists Anees and Amer Zahr, Gaza-born rapper MC Abdul and vocals from the Los Angeles Palestinian Kids Choir.

The day after its release, Macklemore led chants of "f**k America" during his set at the Palestine Will Live Forever festival in Seattle.

Both singles are named after Columbia University's Hamilton Hall, which was renamed Hind's Hall by pro-Palestine student activists in honour of Hind Rajab, a child killed by Israeli forces in Gaza.
