Reed Blankenship ruled out of Eagles-Bucs game

The Eagles are playing in Tampa this weekend, and the real feel temperatures are well over 100 degrees. Safety Reed Blankenship exited the game just before halftime and was listed as questionable to return by the team due to illness. He wasn't with the team when they came out of locker room for the second half, and was downgraded to out shortly afterward.

The Eagles defense gave up 24 points in the first half, and Blankenship had five tackles and one pass defended. The group struggled all afternoon, and Blankenship's absence didn't help things.

Tristan McCollum came in at safety following Blankenship leaving the field, and the Bucs continued scoring points. The heat may have affected some of the players but there's no way that this team would've looked much better regardless of weather conditions.

Blankenship's injury is just the latest in disappointments from this Eagles team.
