Roseville residents pack fire department’s open house event

B.James1 hr ago

The Roseville Fire Department headquarters on Common Road was packed with people on Sunday afternoon for the annual open house in honor of October being Fire Prevention Month.

Numerous families took part in activities ranging from learning proper techniques for applying CPR to spraying a fire hose at a target. They also munched on various snacks provided by the first responders.

Fire officials say the three-hour event gave residents a chance to learn about fire safety, explore firefighting equipment, and have a little fun at the same time.

Inclement weather forced the department to cancel last year's event, so this is the first open house since 2022, according to Fire Chief Keith Jacobs.

Several other fire departments in Macomb County have plans for open house celebrations throughout the month of October.
