The Roxborough United U11 Panthers Gray fell to the PA Rush (Doylestown) 3-1 in an Inter-County Soccer League game played at the Roxborough YMCA.

The Panthers drew first blood in the game as Steven Aldinger scored on a nifty goal to give the home team an early lead.

The Panthers would cling to that lead until Rush erupted for three second half goals.

Rush's Mason Atkiss tied the score at 1-1, until teammate Jackson Holmes put the Rush ahead with a goal midway through the half.

A late goal by Joseph Palm would take the wind out of the Panthers' sails and seal their fate.

Panther goalie Will Lockard was pitching a shutout until being replaced by Tyler Tarducci in the second half.

Tarducci, despite making numerous saves, was the victim of some defensive breakdowns as the Rush relentlessly attacked the net.

The Rush featured three goalies in Max Dennison, John Henry and Mick Moeser and all were outstanding.

The Panthers, coached by Dave Grillo and Greg Wudarski, can hold their heads high after playing solid soccer against the powerhouse Rush team, which was helmed by Juan Perez with bench support from Chris Crider.
