Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff in Portland Sunday for fundraiser

Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff is scheduled to visit Portland this afternoon for a private fundraiser for the Harris-Walz campaign , the vice president's campaign said.

Details of Emhoff's schedule are not public.

The election is about five weeks away.

As the presidential campaign enters its final stretch, Portland police announced last week they were taking part in "motorcade training" with other law enforcement agencies.

Vice President Kamala Harris is set to hold a rally in Las Vegas on Sunday night.

The rally is part of Harris' latest West Coast swing, which included making her first trip to the U.S.-Mexico border since taking over for President Joe Biden atop the Democratic presidential ticket.

She attended a San Francisco fundraiser Saturday and had plans for a Sunday event in Los Angeles before heading to Nevada, with a return to Washington set for Monday night.

Former President Donald Trump is scheduled to hold a rally in Erie, Pennsylvania Sunday.
