A 19-year-old Davenport man was in custody Sunday after police say he used a BB gun in a robbery Friday afternoon, according to court records.

Johnnie Campbell Jr. faces a felony charge of first-degree robbery, according to arrest affidavits.

About 12:41 p.m. Friday, Davenport Police responded to the area of the 3100 block of West 49th Street for a report of a robbery, court records show.

Campbell, affidavits say, "committed a robbery against the victim, with the intent to commit a theft, while a dangerous weapon was used in the commission of the crime."

Campbell and two co-defendants met with the victim and stole the victim's vape, bicycle, and iPhone. The victim described the suspect's physical appearance and said the suspect "pointed a believed-to-be-real black-and-silver handgun at the victim," according to affidavits.

Police say in affidavits that Campbell, who matches the victim's description, was read his Miranda Rights and then admitted to meeting with the victim and "admitted to a BB gun being present."

Campbell was found leaving a resident on North Dittmer Street, where the victim's vape was located, and the stolen bicycle was found in a yard one residence to the east. The iPhone also was found in the area, according to affidavits.

Affidavits say "The believed-to-be-real handgun was discovered to be a CO2-powered BB gun and was located at (Campbell's) residence."

Campbell, who was being held Sunday on $25,000 cash-only bond in Scott County Jail, is set for a preliminary hearing Oct. 8 in Scott County Court.
