Two injured in residential fire in Queens: FDNY

FLUSHING, Queens (PIX11) – A fire at a Queens residence injured two people Sunday morning, according to the FDNY.

The blaze burst out just after 4 a.m. on 37th Avenue between Union Street and Main Street, and it was under control by 5 a.m., according to the FDNY.

The fire broke out on the sixth floor of the building, officials said. Two people were taken to an area hospital, but their conditions were not immediately known.

Some 60 firefighters responded to the flames.
