Vernon Everett Renner OBITUARY
Vernon Renner died peacefully in his sleep. He was preceded in death by his parents Marion and Everett Renner, his son Craig Renner, his first wife Patricia Renner, his second, Kati and most recently his beloved cat, Sebastian. Vern is survived by his brother Robert Renner, and his children Brent Renner, Melanie Renner-Troini (John Troini), grandchildren Allison Troini and Giovanni Troini; Julie Ingber (Jonathan Ingber), grandchildren Chelsea Ingber and Kyle Ingber; and Amy Miller (Brian Miller), grandchildren Avery Miller and Tatum Miller. Vern was born in Weirton, WV, and spent much of his youth in Concord, CA before meeting and marrying Patricia. Vern and Patricia raised their five children in San Jose CA. Vern lived in San Carlos, CA where he was an active member of Kiwanis. He later moved to Sisters, OR. Vern served in the Marines as Military Police during the Korean War and he enjoyed a lifetime career in criminal justice. One highlight was his time as the Director of the San Jose Police Academy.
