“Very Offensive” – Joe Rogan Sums Up Honest Opinion on ‘Super Genius’ Terrence Howard

Terrence Howard has always had a knack for surprising the world, but his latest venture into the realm of science has left fans equally intrigued and baffled. The 55-year-old 'Iron Man' star has no formal background in math or physics, yet he claims his self-taught journey has led him to profound, even groundbreaking insights. Howard recently appeared twice on The Joe Rogan Experience—first in episode #2152, where he presented his wild theories, and then in episode #2171 with scientist Eric Weinstein, who attempted to untangle Howard's unique concepts.

Howard's theories, ranging from new takes on math to unorthodox physics ideas, made his solo appearance go viral among Rogan's fanbase. It wasn't just the eccentric content that drew attention—it was Howard's conviction. His episodes sparked so much buzz that Rogan brought him up again during episode #2205 with Legion of Skanks, praising Howard's unusual intellect. But it was during his discussion with Weinstein that things got particularly fascinating, as Weinstein tried to navigate through Howard's unconventional ideas with a mix of curiosity and skepticism.

Joe Rogan praises Terrance Howard for his vast area of knowledgeWhile speaking to Legion Of Skanks about various topics under the sun, there was one point where the conversation went to Terrance Howard. Joe Rogan immediately went on a full-blown tirade talking about the actor and complimenting his unique thought process. He said, "Terrence Howard is very interesting. He is a very very smart guy he just does not have a formal education and stuff so when I had Eric Weinstein on the podcast. Eric sort of explained to him the things he's getting wrong."

According to the million-dollar podcaster, the mathematician and host of The Portal podcast, explained to Howard that he needed to understand some scientific terminologies. The first thing he said was that the actor could not use the word 'teaching' when he was explaining his theories because it might be "very offensive" to scholars who have studied and dedicated their whole lives to the field.

However, Rogan and Weinstein did acknowledge the sharp mind that The Empire actor possessed. Rogan further stated, "Terrence is like a super smart guy who is way smarter than anybody around him. But then the super smart guys are super smart guys who are educated about it, they don't engage with him. So Eric was like let me just talk to this dude. I think he's one of us he has just gone astray. He's a brilliant guy who has got the correct education in this stuff." The physicist and mathematician appreciated the Hollywood star's input however he also gave the reason as to why he would never be peer reviewed.

Eric Weinstein gives the harsh reality of why Terence Howard would not be accepted in the scientific worldWeinstein understood why Howard was not getting peer-reviewed in scientific papers or journals. The Academy Award nominee was self-taught which is why he was unaware of the scientific lexicon that came with this field. Weinstein pointed out, "Let me explain where you are. Neil is not unaware that you are never going to get your hearing in a peer-reviewed journal. Your ideas are going to come through, you're a self-taught autodidactic polymath. You haven't been cleaned up. You haven't been taught how to speak properly, you don't know the fact that when you say loop we know you mean fix point. I know how to do all this stuff, right."

The scientist appreciated the cleverness of the actor and he felt it was a shame that Howard would not be accepted in the scientific world. This is because Weinstein felt that there was actual value and he is outlook toward certain theories was very unique. Unfortunately, Howard was still very rough around the edges. "You're not getting a peer review from me, I know a lot more than you do about a lot of this stuff. You're getting Elite reviewed and my Elite review says that a lot of this is bath water but a small amount of this is baby and that's not available anywhere," Weinstein added.

Nonetheless, Weinstein did not just criticize Howard but also gave a solution to how the latter could be taken seriously. Weinstein advised the actor to concentrate on the phraseology of his theories and send out a proper message with appropriate scientific words if he wanted to be taken seriously in this particular community. So according to Joe Rogan, Terence Howard is a genius but do you think his theories could be accepted in the future?
