WWE's 5 Best Picks to Win 2025 Royal Rumble to Kickoff WrestleMania 41 Season

WWE/ As we enter the fall and begin to wrap up WWE's 2024 premium live event schedule, WrestleMania season will be here before you know it.

Royal Rumble will occur on Feb. 1, 2025, at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana. The iconic annual event will officially kick off the road to The Showcase of the Immortals and give two stars the chance of a lifetime.

John Cena announced at Money in the Bank that he plans to retire from in-ring competition at the end of next year. This adds an interesting wrinkle to the festivities because the upcoming Rumble and WrestleMania 41 will be his last.

It will be interesting to see how the most prominent superstar of his era will factor into both events and who he will face during his retirement tour. However, the 16-time world champion is currently not a favorite to win in what could be his final appearance in the 30-man battle royal.

Although it's still a bit early to predict the winner of both matches, these are WWE's best picks to win the men's and women's Royal Rumble match.

Many longtime fans have been clamoring for Sami Zayn to win a world championship since his stint with NXT.

It's an accolade that the Canadian star has been chasing for some time, and it honestly feels long overdue. Now, Zayn is more popular than ever thanks to his role in the Bloodline, the subsequent face turn, and his tenure on Raw.

His monumental victory over Gunther at WrestleMania 40 and 118-day Intercontinental title reign proved that he's ready to represent the brand as its main champion. This is the best possible time to reward him with a Royal Rumble win and lay the groundwork for him to achieve his goal on The Grandest Stage of Them All.

Seth Rollins is currently recuperating after a savage beatdown from Bronson Reed on Aug. 5, but he will undoubtedly try to return in time for WrestleMania season.

The Visionary was the MVP of this year's event for many viewers thanks to his performance in the night one main event and his sacrifice to help Cody Rhodes finish the story. Even more, Rollins spoke in the accompanying documentary about his struggles with injuries, but he persevered and competed on both nights.

You could tell how much it meant to him to headline the show for the first time in his career, and there are many storylines for him to take part in when he returns. Obviously, his long-awaited showdown with CM Punk is the money match, but a high-profile encounter with Roman Reigns also makes a lot of sense.

Either way, his second Royal Rumble win could be a great way to reignite those feuds and punch his ticket to The Greatest Spectacle in Sports Entertainment.

Roxanne Perez has been a tremendous NXT women's champion, but she's destined to move on to the main roster and become an even bigger star.

The Prodigy is easily in the running for Woman of the Year due to her drastic improvement as a character and exceptional in-ring work. The 22-year-old is the future of WWE's women's division and the company will likely push her as such in 2025.

In 2017, Asuka finished a dominant run on the developmental brand and ultimately won the inaugural women's Royal Rumble match a few months later. Perez should follow in her footsteps and win the event shortly after her jump to Raw or SmackDown.

This would be an excellent way to show the audience that the company is immediately invested and build her up as a contender. If Bayley can regain the WWE Women's Championship by next year, Perez would be a perfect WrestleMania opponent.

Becky Lynch has been on hiatus since her rematch against Liv Mogan in a steel cage on the May 27 episode of Raw.

The former WWE women's world champion became a free agent at the end of the month, leaving many fans to speculate about when or where she could show up next. However, it's hard to imagine The Man will actually leave the company.

Expect Lynch to eventually come back and sign a lucrative contract after some well-deserved time off. Next year's women's Royal Rumble match would be the best destination for her surprise return.

The logical conclusion would be for her to win the 30-woman battle royal and become the first two-time winner. After all, the Irish superstar has said she wants to be the first woman to win the event twice.

Last November, CM Punk shocked the world when he returned to WWE and rekindled his dream of headlining WrestleMania.

The Second City Saint fell short of his goal as the runner-up in his first Royal Rumble appearance in 10 years. Even worse, he tore his tricep in the match and lost his chance to face Rollins in a world heavyweight championship match.

Nevertheless, Punk vowed to recover and fight even harder for the chance to compete in the main event of The Show of Shows. Now that Rhodes has finished the story and dethroned Reigns, he has to be a favorite to win his first Rumble and exercise the lingering demons from his first run with the company.

That would also set up a path for Rollins to return and work to regain the world title he popularized. In fact, The Visionary would be a fitting challenger for Gunther and the best option for Punk's WrestleMania opponent.
