Every family does Thanksgiving a little bit differently. Maybe your dinner isn't complete with a side of Stove-Top stuffing , maybe you require a green bean casserole or creamed brussels sprouts . In case you were curious how people do Thanksgiving across the country, Google just released its annual Thanksgiving trends report and ranked the most popular holiday sides in each state. It was broken down into various categories, including casserole, veggies, pasta/starches, stuffing, and other, and the results are surprising. Two surprising revelations: Ramen noodle salad reins supreme in Nebraska, and brie mini tarts took the crown in Delaware. The rest of the Midwest and South is a little more traditional. Green bean casserole was an overwhelming favorite in the region, including Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio, while corn casserole lead several southern states in sides. Stuffing had a surprisingly smaller crowd of fans, with just California, New Mexico, and Arizona claiming it on the West Coast, and Massachusetts and West Virginia on the East Coast. In fact, it didn't even make the overall ranking for top trending Thanksgiving side dishes based on info Google collected over the last month. Rather, green bean casserole, cranberry sauce, sweet potato casserole, Brussel sprouts, and collard greens made the top five—in that order, too. However, if you are among the few craving stuffing, these are the most-searched recipes: Cornbread stuffing recipe Sausage stuffing recipe Vegan stuffing Vegetarian stuffing Sourdough stuffing recipe As for the main event, smoked turkey, turducken, pre-cooked Thanksgiving turkey, fried turkey, and spatchcock turkey were the most searched. Americans are likely planning to sip Pumpkin Pie Martinis, Apple Cider Mimosas, Thanksgiving Spritzes, Apple Cider Sangria, and Hot Buttered Rum. Google also released a map of most-searched baked goods, state by state. And while, personally, I'd take the Pumpkin Pie Martini as my dessert, if you're looking for an actual pie, pumpkin, apple, Boston cream, lemon meringue, and chocolate were all trending this month, too.
