AUSTINTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Hollywood Gaming has been in Austintown for 10 years. As gaming has grown across the state, sharing the benefits of responsible gaming remains a top priority.

The racino hosted an education session on Friday. The Ohio Lottery shared the resources it has along with the Ohio Casino Control Commission to help people who think they could have a gambling addiction.

On the gaming floor, there were resource tables available for people to get support if they believe they have an issue with gambling or its become a challenge for them.

"September is Responsible Gaming Education Month. So, we use this as an opportunity to educate our community, re-educate our team, reinforce our partnership with folks like Compass and Meridian, who are some of the care providers that can assist any guests who has a challenge with problem gaming," said Kevin Brogan, director of marketing at Hollywood Gaming.

Hollywood Gaming also made donations Friday to charitable groups, including $5,000 dollars to Meridian Healthcare, $3,000 to the Mahoning County Human Trafficking Task Force and $1,000 to Problem Gambling Network of Ohio.
