Bright Eyes is closing the door on its tour ... for now.

The indie band says that due to lead singer Conor Oberst 's ongoing vocal problems , all of its tour dates for the rest of 2024 are canceled.

Just last week, Bright Eyes said it was heartbroken to have to cancel record release shows tagged to its new album " Five Dice, All Threes " after Oberst lost his voice.

In a new statement posted to Instagram on Friday night, the band shared news of the cancellation of the remainder of its gigs.

"We regret to announce that we will have to cancel our shows for the rest of the year including in Los Angeles, Oakland, Las Vegas and Europe," Bright Eyes said in the post. "We love our fans and are incredibly disappointed that we won't be able to play these shows. All tickets for headline shows will be refunded at point of purchase and we will keep everyone posted on plans for rescheduling."

From there, the band shared more about the reasons for nixing the tour:

"Over the past week Conor has undergone multiple tests to determine the cause of his recent vocal problems. It's come to light that he has developed a condition that is exacerbated by excessive singing, requiring both treatment and recuperation. We are confident that with a successful regimen and continued medical attention we will be able to return to the road next year."

After Bright Eyes canceled its record release shows last week ( Brooklyn, Chicago and Omaha ), the next concert dates were the Fox Theater in Oakland, California Oct. 11; The Bellwether in Los Angeles Oct. 12; and Best Friends Forever Music Festival in Las Vegas Oct. 13.

The band's scheduled shows for 2025 , which are still on sale, start with Phoenix, Arizona Jan. 16, followed by stops in California, Oregon, Vancouver, Seattle and more through April, when the band plays Brooklyn (Brooklyn Paramount, April 17) .

" Five Dice, All Threes ," the band's 11th album, was released Sep. 20.

The song " All Threes " features Cat Power . The album's singles, " Rainbow Overpass " and " Bells and Whistles ," both featuring Alex Orange Drink of the So So Glos , were released in August and June.

Oberst, 44, started the Omaha band Bright Eyes as a solo act in 1995. Later, trumpet player, pianist and arranger-composer Nate Walcott joined, as did producer Mike Mogis .
