3 dead, 1 in critical condition following shooting in Custer County; suspect on the run

Three people are dead, one is in critical condition and a suspect is on the run following a shooting in Custer County on Monday, according to Gazette news partner KOAA.

Multiple agencies are responding to the scene at 173 Rocky Ridge Rd., just northeast of Westcliffe, KOAA reports.

The Custer County Sheriff's Office told KOAA, the incident started as a neighbor dispute, which led to shots being fired. Officials told KOAA they received the call just before 1 p.m.

Officials told KOAA two men and one woman are dead following the dispute and were shot multiple times. Another woman, who was also shot several times, was taken to the hospital in critical condition, KOAA reports.

The four individuals were found near each other close to the property line in a wooden area, KOAA said. The names of the victims will be released at a later time.

KOAA reports that the suspect in the incident was identified as 45-year-oldHanme K. Clark. Clark was last seen driving a white Ram 1500 pickup with a topper with the Colorado license plate BHLK27, according to KOAA.

Officials told KOAA the suspect is in a different city, however, they did not say which one.

The sheriff's office issued a shelter-in-place around 2:20 p.m. for the area around Rocky Ridge Road but have since given an "all-clear" following the shooting, according to a Facebook post from the department.

According to the sheriff's office, multiple agencies are responding to the incident.
