1 dead, 1 injured in shooting inside SUV

KALAMAZOO, MI – One man was killed and another injured in a shooting late Monday, Nov. 4, inside a vehicle.

Kalamazoo police are looking for the shooter.

Police responded around 10:25 p.m. to a report of a shooting in the 400 block of Egleston Avenue near Reed Court. Police found a 34-year-old man dead and a 40-year-old man with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

Preliminary investigation showed that the two and an unidentified gunman were together earlier in the evening, at another location, before they got into a Chevrolet Trailblazer. They drove to the Egleston area where the two victims were shot.

Police are investigating several leads. There is no indication of an immediate threat to the public, Kalamazoo police said.
