From scarecrows to fall festivals, there's something going on this weekend in Eastern Pennsylvania for everyone to have fun.

The air is getting cooler and the leaves are starting to slightly change color. As we reach the mid-point of September, Fall comes to life in Eastern Pennsylvania with weekend events featuring festivals and showcasing scarecrows.

These are some of the events taking place this weekend in Eastern Pennsylvania:

Scarecrow Season Starts At Peddler's Village

Peddler's Village in Lahaska will launch this year's "Scarecrow Season" with three main events: Scarecrows in the Village: A display of more than 100 handmade creations; a Scarecrow Festival on Sept. 14 and 15; and scarecrow-making workshops that begin during the festival and continue on Sept. 21 and 28. Food, cars, and music. Those are the three headliners for the 4th Annual Bucks Fall Food Truck, Car Show & Music Fest. The festival takes place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Warminster Community Park at 350 E. Bristol Rd. The festival features the Blue Comet Motorcycle Club, a car show by the Panel Beaters Car Club, animal rescues including Hart2Heart Animal Rescue, and live music. There's also a free petting zoo, kids activities, and 11 food trucks. The food trucks include Humpty Dumplings, Ardana Pizza, Philly Pretzel Factory, Tuckedito Tacquitos, Philly Funnel Cake Inc., Sweet Thangs Nut & Candy, Thai It Up, Pirate Pete's Soda Pop, United Crepes of America, The Tot Rod, and Wrap N Roll. Philadelphia Marketplace returns to Dilworth Park

The Philadelphia Marketplace has returned, running every Friday and Saturday starting this week and running through Oct. 6. McConkey's Market At Washington Crossing

McConkey's Market returns for its 10th fall season on Saturday, September 14 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Washington Crossing Historic Park (PA). Held only twice a year, the market features nearly 100 vendors selling an eclectic mix of artisan crafts, up-cycled items, vintage goods, handmade jewelry, original art and photography, pottery, reclaimed furniture, and collectibles. The market also includes live music and several food vendors. McConkey's Market takes its name from the park's historic McConkey Ferry Inn. The building represents a typical country inn or tavern of the Revolutionary era. Tradition has it that George Washington ate at the inn before he crossed the Delaware River. ( Read More

Monarchs Taking Flight At Bon Voyage Party

The public is invited to attend a Bon Voyage Party for its Monarch Butterflies on Sunday, Sept. 15 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Native Butterfly House at the Churchville Nature Center, 501 Churchville Lane, Churchville. During the event, butterflies will be tagged before they are released from the house for their grand migration to their winter home. Other activities will include tours of the Butterfly House, pawpaw and flavored cricket tastings, beekeeping demonstrations, crafts, and other fun activities.
