1 killed, 3 others hurt in fatal York County crash

YORK COUNTY, S.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — One person was killed and three others hurt in a crash in York County.
On September 27, around 9:10 a.m., units responded to the scene on Lawrence Road, just south of Clover.
Officials say four people were in the roadway, cutting up a tree when a 2013 Ram pickup truck struck the tree and the four pedestrians.
All of the pedestrians suffered injuries and were transported to the hospital. One of them later died.
The driver of the Ram truck was not injured.
The crash remains under investigation by the SC Highway Patrol. No details yet on the deceased or if there will be any charges filed.
