1 man dead, another injured in late-night Laurel apartment shooting, police say

An overnight shooting inside an apartment building in Laurel, Maryland left a man dead and another injured, according to the Prince George's County Police Department.
Officers said they responded to the 13000 block of Mistletoe Spring Road in Laurel at around 12:10 a.m. for the reports of a shooting. When they arrived, police said they found two men inside the apartment building suffering from gunshot wounds.
One man lost his life on the scene, police said. The other man was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
The investigation into the shooting remains ongoing, officials said.
