4 men burglarize a storage facility in Delray Beach
A group of men travel from Miami and Broward to break into storage units at Cube Smart in Delray Beach then attempt to flee from police
On Oct. 29, the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office arrested four men who drove from Miami Dade County and Broward County to commit burglaries in Palm Beach County. 37, Osvaldo Cruz, 58, Angel Aldana, 30, Luis Angel Harris-Navarro, and 41, Franky Torres.The men had a robbery scheme to break into storage facilities, break the locks of units and steal what was inside. The South Florida Task Force was conducting surveillance on a 2016 White Chevrolet Silverado and Black Ford F150, which was known for previous storage facility burglaries.On this day, the task team followed the vehicles to a Cube Smart in Delray Beach located at 6100 Atlantic Ave. The white Silverado acted as the "lookout" whilst the black Ford F150 parked near the facility. Shortly after an undercover task member heard the metal gates of storage units being rolled up. The suspects pulled up to different units, breaking the metal locks and loading the Ford F150 up with items from the units. They broke into over three units. Once the men got back into the truck to leave along with the white Silverado, officers activated their lights and sirens to get the men to pull over before exiting the storage facility. With there only being one entrance and exit, the driver of the Black Ford F150 drove through the metal fence to flee. The vehicle made its way to the Florida Turnpike and with the assistance of Florida Highway Patrol, the vehicle was successfully stopped and all the occupants were taken into custody. The driver of the Black Ford F150 was identified as Osvaldo Cruz and the passenger was identified as Franky Torres.
