Sports 5 NFL Teams On Upset Alert Ahead of Week 5

With Week 5 of the NFL season upon us, it's time to start separating the contenders from the pretenders. Each game means a lot to teams, especially when it comes to making the playoffs or seeding down the line.

There are some very good matchups on the horizon for Week 5 and each week we see teams be upset. But which teams should be on upset alert for this week?

Newsweek Sports has you covered and has listed the top five teams on upset alert entering the Week 5 schedule.

The Steelers enter this game with a record of 3-1 on the season but their offense has been a little shaky. They've won games based on their defense and they now face a tough Dallas team. While the Cowboys haven't lived up to expectations this season, their offensive attack can still win games. Pittsburgh will be tasked with slowing down Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb, a task that is much easier said than done.

Even with Jordan Love back, there is something about the Rams' feistiness. They are banged up and sit with a record of 1-3 on the season but Los Angeles never gives up. They won a gritty game against the San Francisco 49ers at home a few weeks ago and could do the same here. Green Bay will need to jump on the Rams early on otherwise, they could easily be on upset alert this week.

London games always bring out the weirdness of football but the Vikings have been one of the best teams so far this season. However, they face off against old rival Aaron Rodgers . Rodgers would love nothing more than to silence the Vikings and hand them their first loss of the year. New York has the talent to win this game but the biggest question will be which version of the Jets actually shows up.

Entering the season, nobody expected Jacksonville to be the last winless team in the NFL . But here we are. Yet, this game against the Colts presents a perfect opportunity. Indianapolis is dealing with some major injuries to key players , giving the Jaguars a chance to get into the win column. The Colts will need to figure out how to keep Jacksonville down, otherwise, both teams will hold a 1-4 record once the game ends.

Washington is flying high right now, holding a record of 3-1 on the season. But they still have a rookie quarterback, no matter how good Jayden Daniels has looked so far. Rookies tend to have some issues during their first season and the Browns have a good defense. Cleveland has the tools to win this game so Washington will need to be careful entering this matchup.
