#7 Penn State bullies Bruins to remain undefeated

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. — Penn State dialed up the defense when they had to on offense with quarterback Drew Aller, very efficient throwing the ball to lots of different receivers and the ground game behind Kaytron Allen, good enough for another Penn State win. Now it's on to LA and USC.

"Overall, our starting defense held a big 10 opponent to three points. They scored a touchdown there late with a lot of backups in today's day and age. Keeping people to a field goal is difficult to do and I thought our defense did a nice job. Obviously not having a guy like Nick Singleton is significant, but it was a tremendous opportunity for Kaytron to get a few more touches and it was also a great opportunity to get Quentin in there," said James Franklin.

"It was great, play the game I love, um, we went 1-0 as a team, so it was great," said Allen.

Tight end Tyler Warren caught three passes for 29 yards and a score that touchdown, his 17th of his career at tight end, passing Pat Freiermuth to become number one all time in Penn state history.

"Yeah, it means a lot, to be in that with so many great tight ends that have played here and I've had the chance to play with, but it kind of speaks a lot to the offense I've been a part of because there's 10 other guys on that field every time I've scored a touchdown that have done something to get me open or blocked or I drew a time to throw the ball. So I think it kind of just shows how much of a team game this is because I need everybody else on that field for me to get this record," Warren said.

The Penn State defense held UCLA to 93 yards rushing. Another great effort from Tom Allen's group.

"I think it starts in practice. What he wants, we get our game plan and then practice, do everything right. We get everything fixed and then game day he'll just talk on the headset and tell us what we need to work on. So, he's been good," said Tony Rojas.
