10 people, 5 animals displaced in Fountain apartment fire

Ten people and five pets were temporarily displaced from their homes following a structure fire in Fountain early Tuesday, according to Gazette news partner KOAA.
The fire took place at an apartment complex on Alegre Circle, which is located near U.S. 85/87 and Southmoor Drive. Fountain Fire Department officials first posted about the blaze on social media at about 6:30 a.m.
The Red Cross of Southern Colorado is responding to help assist the displaced people and animals, according to News 5.
The fire was out by 7 a.m. according to the department. No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
