2024 Savannah Veterans Day parade: What to know
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – Savannah's annual Veterans Day Parade is set for Monday at 10 a.m.
WSAV has gathered everything you need to know for the event.
Parade route
The staging area will be on Abercorn Street between E. Gwinnett and E. Park Ave. north to south and Habersham to Drayton St. west to east.
The parade route will begin at 10 a.m. at the intersection of E. Gwinnett and Abercorn and travel north along Abercorn.
The parade will shift west at Liberty St. and then north on Montgomery.
The final leg will travel east on W. Broughton St. from Montgomery and disband at Price. St.
How to watch
Paradegoers can set up chairs or stand on sidewalks along the parade route.
For those who can't make it in person, WSAV will broadcast the event for an hour and a half starting at 10 a.m. on WSAV and wsav.com .

Grand marshal
This year's parade grand marshal is Mike Brady, a Vietnam veteran who served in the U.S. Air Force.
Brady has been involved in the behind-the-scenes of the parade for many years.
"I think to be a veteran and to be honored this way is really something really special to me," he said.
Road closures
Police will be closing certain downtown streets along the parade route starting at 6 a.m. which will impact traffic and residential parking.
Note that Liberty St. will be closed to westbound traffic. East bound traffic on Liberty St. will not be able to travel past Drayton St.
Oglethorpe will be closed in both directions from Montgomery to E. Broad St.
Roadways will begin reopening after the parade moves past and are expected to be completely reopened by 2 p.m.
Parking within the staging area (see map above) will be impacted starting at 12:01 a.m.
There will be posted signage along the route and in the staging area indicating parking restrictions, the city said.
Vehicles remaining in the no parking zone after the indicated times will be towed at the owner's expense.
