LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - STOP DUI NEVADA is reminding drivers about the deadly consequences of drinking and driving.

The non-profit organization is hosting a "miles of memories" news conference Wednesday at 12 p.m. They will be at Las Vegas police's Mt. Charleston substation on Kyle Canyon Road.

Organizers say State Route 157 is the only state route in the country that is dedicated to DUI victims.

STOP DUI is hosting the presser for National Drunk & Drugged Driving Prevention Month in December.

The signs remain up through Jan. 7. 14 new signs will be added this year.

"The signs display the names of innocent DUI victims who lost their lives because someone chose to drive under the influence of alcohol and or other drugs," organizers say. "Some signs are double facing indicating siblings, parent and child, husband and wife, and are designed to be a poignant and sober reminder of the danger and consequences of driving under the influence."

STOP DUI posts the signs at no cost to the victim's families.
