3 teens stab man walking his service dog in Vancouver, police say

VANCOUVER Wash. (KPTV) - Vancouver police on Thursday said they were looking for three people who attacked a man walking his dog at night.

According to a statement from Vancouver police, on Aug. 2 around 11 p.m. a 50-year-old man was walking his service dog in a field on the Wy-east Middle School campus when he was attacked by three males who he described to be in their late teens.

He was stabbed several times in his back and torso during the attack. First responders rushed him to a local hospital and as of Sept. 19, he is still recovering, according to police.

His service dog was not hurt.

A spokesperson for the Vancouver Police Department told FOX 12 that this case is not being investigated as a bias crime.

Detectives have no specific description of the teen suspects, and they have not found any videos or photos that would be useful to their case.
