5 things to do this weekend in Westmoreland: Nov. 8-10
Take a break from work and errands. It's a good weekend to relax, take it slow and find time to see a concert or go to a fundraiser. Here are a few ideas for this weekend:
Three Dog Night concert
The nostalgic tunes of Three Dog Night will rock the Palace Theatre, 21 W. Otterman St., Greensburg, this Friday. The band has been around since the late 1960s and had 21 Billboard Top 40 hits by 1975.
The band brought lasting classics such as"Joy to the World" and "Mama Told Me Not To Come" to the airwaves, and they're still rocking their hits now onstage, 50 years later.
Tickets range from $59 to $149 for the 7:30 p.m. show. Get tickets and more information at thepalacetheatre.org .
Game day purse bash
Come out for a good cause and check out some lovely bags at this Sunday's Purse Bash. The event will be held at Live Casino Pittsburgh and benefits Ninth Life Rescue Center.
From 1 to 4 p.m., there will be drawings for designer purses every 15 minutes, along with a tailgate-style luncheon, raffles, a 50/50 drawing, surprises and — of course — big screens playing the Steelers vs. Commanders game.
Purses from Kate Spade, Coach, Michael Kors, Louis Vuitton and more will be given away. Tickets are $45. The event will be held at Sports and Social Steel City at Live Casino Pittsburgh, 5260 Route 30 East, Hempfield.

Benefiting the library, the fundraiser will feature a circus theme that's fun for all ages. The event will include themed food and treats, drinks, live entertainment and games. Tickets are $60 each but $100 if you buy two —so bring a friend for even more fun.
The event will be held at the Greensburg Hempfield Area Library, 237 S. Pennsylvania Ave., Greensburg, from 6 to 9 p.m. For tickets, visit the library's Facebook page at facebook.com/ghalibrary .
YWCA art, bake sale
Get a head start on your holiday shopping with the Young Women's Christian Association's art and bake sale this Saturday. See and purchase lovely art from the Arts and Heritage Festival and purchase yummy treats from YWCA members.
