OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - 6 News Daybreak has the headlines you need to know to get your Friday started.

Last day for Nebraskans to register to vote online Friday Friday at 11:59 p.m. is the deadline for Nebraskans to register to vote online or at a state agency.

In order to register to vote by mail, it must also be postmarked by Friday.

Voters can register for in-person voting at their county election office until 6 p.m. on Oct. 25.

A valid photo ID must be presented before a person votes, due to the new voter ID law.

In-person early voting in Douglas County has reportedly had a high turnout. Polk County in Iowa also reported a sizeable crowd.

Huskers up against No. 18 Indiana on Saturday Nebraska is in Bloomington getting ready for Saturday's game against undefeated Indiana .

This is the second Top 25 team that the Huskers have faced so far this season.

Kickoff for Saturday's game is set for 11 a.m. CT and will be Fox's Big Noon Kickoff game.

New details released Friday for Perry, Iowa school shooting A news conference is being held Friday for the investigation into the Jan. 4 mass shooting at Perry High School in Iowa.

A release says that new information will be provided about the shooting that left an 11-year-old , as well as the school principle , dead. Four others were also injured.

The shooter, 17-year-old Dylan Butler , died by suicide after turning the gun on himself.

The press conference starts at 10 a.m. in Des Moines.

Korean War veteran to be buried Friday in Omaha Charles A. Vorel, a Korean War solider, will be buried Friday at Omaha National Cemetery.

His remains were recently identified in April as he was buried alongside other unidentified soldiers in Honolulu, Hawaii

Vorel was a member of Baker Company, 1st Battalion, 19th Infantry Regiment, 24th Infantry Division.

Scientists are using a new technology to identify unknown soldiers, including the 652 unknown burials from the Korean War.

RFK Jr., Tim Walz coming to Omaha on Saturday RFK Jr. announced Thursday that he is making a stop in Omaha to campaign for presidential candidate Donald Trump.

He will speak at the Hilton in downtown Omaha . The event starts at 6 p.m. with doors opening at 4 p.m.

Tickets can be secured online.

VP candidate Tim Walz is making a second visit to Omaha on Saturday.

His rally is set for 5 p.m. , with doors opening at 2:30 p.m. The location of his the event has not yet been released.
