The Wyoming Valley Conference girls volleyball coaches have announced the 2012 All-Stars and Holy Redeemer’s Sarah Warnagiris has been name the conference’s Most Valuable Player.
Warnagiris joins teammate Nicole Slavoski on the first team. Taylor Braunagel, Cassidy Cohen and Jessica Balcarcel formed Delaware Valley’s conference-leading three first team selections. Crestwood’s Carina Mazzoni, Dallas’ Tanner Englehart, Nanticoke’s Kayley Schinski and North Pocono’s Kelli Bray rounded out the first team.
Nanticoke, Crestwood and Lake-Lehman each found two members of their teams on the second team. The Trojans’ Allie Matulewski and Alexandra Brassington were voted on, along with the Comets’ Taryn Wojnar and Emily Sipple, and Lehman’s Bethany Williams and Maria Chinikaylo. Wyoming Area’s Samantha Acacio, Redeemer’s Sydney Kotch and Delaware Valley’s Alyssa Kelly also made the second team.
