A look at the SCBL fall basketball finals
The 14th season of Select Competition Basketball League (SCBL) will conclude with three championship games Sunday at Executive Education Academy Charter.
The three-game schedule begins with the NCAA Division finals for kids in grades 7-9 at 1 p.m. followed by the WNBA championship for varsity girls at 2. It concludes with the NBA division for varsity boys kids at 3 p.m.
The title matchups were set in the WNBA and NBA during last week's semifinals.
League director and founder Ed Jennings provided the recaps:
SCBL Girls Division
Consolation: Liberty 50, Wings 44 ... Kami Rios 17 points and Shmayia Roberts 14 for Liberty; Cassie Doemling 25 for the Wings.
Semifinal: Aces 47, Lynx 40 ... Ava Kopetskie 30 points for Aces, Bryasiah Martin and Arianna Rosario had 10 apiece for the Lynx.
Semifinal: Mystics 39, Sparks 38 ... no names available.

After an intense, competitive matchup, the Spurs outlasted the Knicks, and Noah Newsome's late 3-pointer sealed the Bulls' victory over the Lakers. Now the stage is set for Bulls vs. Spurs for the title Sunday at 3."
