An upscale cocktail bar and lounge is moving into Norwood this winter.

"We've had our sights set on the Rookwood development for a long time, and we're thrilled to bring a concept that is known and loved by many to The Rookwood Exchange. We're confident The Roosevelt Room will create a unique experience for our neighbors in Norwood, Hyde Park, Oakley and surrounding areas," Bob Deck, 4EG managing partner, said in a press release.

Construction on the space began in early September. The Roosevelt Room's concept is inspired by the 26th president of the United States, Theodore Roosevelt, and will feature a color palette of dark green, blue and gold; a custom wooden bar top; a gold-mounted moose; and a rose-gold disco ball. There will be open table and bar seating and an outdoor patio, as well as a private room for events.

The full-service bar will feature rotating draft beer and wine; an extensive selection of craft beer, seltzers and spirits; and handcrafted signature cocktails. The cocktail menu includes drinks like "Speak Softly" (Lillet rosé, champagne and strawberry), "Big Stick" (Old Forester Straight Bourbon, Vida Mezcal Rinse, Carpano Antica Vermouth, 1821 Barrel-Aged Bitters and a bourbon-soaked smoked wood chip) and "The Naturalist" (Ketel One Botanicals Cucumber and Mint Vodka, mint-infused simple syrup, lime juice, pomegranate juice and soda).
