Addressing Klay's departure on The Draymond Green Show , the veteran superstar revealed that when Klay told him that he was leaving Golden State, it made Draymond's wife Hazel Renee very emotional and burst into tears. Upon asking why, she told Draymond, "She said it reminded her of last year." Notably, Draymond was in Klay's shoes last off season when he was going into free agency and had a big decision to make.

Then, Draymond made a shocking revelation that he had made up his mind about leaving the Warriors just like Klay did this year. Making a similar phone call to Steph, Klay and Kerr separately, Draymond told them, "Yo, I'm leaving. I'm going to Memphis." And Klay's departure reminded Draymond's wife of this incident and made her cry.
