You don't have to cash out on an $1,000-plus ticket to Europe to get a taste of Cava, Spain's regional sparkling wine. Instead, thanks to a new Cava Wine Experience rolled out by Marriott, you can now make your way to any of their Spanish-born AC Hotel properties across the U.S, where you can order from a new menu of Cava-based cocktails — or even create your own.

The customizable cocktail experience, announced this week, will roll out throughout 2025 at 11 properties across the U.S and Canada — from Atlanta and Washington D.C to Cincinnati and Vancouver. The new menus can be found at the hotels' AC Lounge, which will also serve up Spanish-inspired tapas.

"We are always considering new ways to bring experiences that cater to our guests' interests and passions, Marlon A. Whyte, global brand leader for AC Hotels by Marriott, said in a statement. "With the introduction of our new Cava offerings, guests can enjoy refreshing flavor combinations featuring signature sparkling wine from Spain, also the birthplace of the AC Hotel brand. While these drinks will only be available at select properties, we hope that our perfectly poured Cava cocktails transport every drinker to the wineries of Spain."

The Mediterranean-inspired cocktail menu currently includes the Classic (featuring Angostura bitters, lemon twist, and spicy clove), the Hawaiian (with Tiki bitters and dehydrated pineapple), Rhubarb (mixed with rhubarb bitters and dehydrated strawberry), Lavender (garnished with lavender bitters and lavender) and the Barcelona (made with olive bitters and olives).

In addition to offering guests a more personalized experience, the Spanish-infused menu allows U.S natives to learn more about the Spanish bubbly, which is often confused with Prosecco and Champagne, the much more ubiquitous sparkling wine in the U.S. Unlike its French and Italian counterparts, however, Cava is rarely added with sugar thanks to optimal ripening in the Mediterranean climate. That being said, the types of Cava range from Brut Nature (no sugar) to Dulce (the sweetest) for every preferance.

While Cava hasn't caught on mainstream in the U.S quite yet, popularity has slowly grown over the past year. Total Cava sales have increased by 1.09% from 2022-2023, with foreign markets representing 68% of total sales.

But if you want to try it out yourself, you can always make your way to an AC Hotels. The customizable Cava experience is available for purchase in the AC Lounge® at 11 properties and will continue to roll out around the world through 2025. Current participating properties include:
