CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - A Shaker Heights man was indicted by a Cuyahoga County Grand Jury for allegedly raping three women between May 1, 2021 and March 31, 2023. Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Michael O'Malley identified the accused serial rapist as Michael Mann, 52. O'Malley said Mann would message women through on-line ads and offer them $2,000 or more to work as a server at a private event or high-stakes poker game at a hotel in Cleveland. "Michael Mann is a disgusting individual who preyed on innocent women who were responding to employment opportunities," said Prosecutor Michael C. O'Malley. Mann would sometimes use the aliases of Rick, Rico, Ricardo, and R, said O'Malley. Once the women arrived at the hotel, Mann would allegedly demand a sum of cash for the hotel room deposit and then sexually assault them. O'Malley said they believe there are additional victims, including victims before 2021 and as recent as 2024. If you have any information regarding these incidents, any additional incidents, or believe you were a victim, please call the Cleveland Division of Police's Sex Crimes Unit Detective Richard Jackson at 216-623-5726. Mann was indicted on:Five counts of rape Three counts of kidnapping One count of attempted rape One count of gross sexual imposition Mann is in custody and is scheduled to be arraigned on Nov. 21.
