An adorable resurfaced clip of Donald Trump 's son Barron as a toddler shows him confessing that he wants to be 'businessman' just like his father when he grows up. After staying out of the spotlight for most of his life, the 18-year-old, whom Donald shares with wife Melania , has emerged as an online sensation in recent months. And recently he's made headlines again after the six-foot-nine teenager stood by his father's side at his victory rally following his 2024 election win, with fans 'obsessing' over him online - and trying to uncover every detail about his life. Amidst this resurgence of interest, an old video of the New York University student appearing on his dad's show The Apprentice when he was only 18 months old is making the rounds again. And while he is notoriously private now, Barron seemed like a natural in front of the cameras back then. He adorably announced in the clip, which aired in March 2008, that he wanted to follow in his dad's footsteps and become a powerful real estate mogul like him when he was older. 'To my left is Melania, and this is Barron,' Donald told the contestants while introducing them to his family. 'Barron, say hello to the group.' The youngster, who was in his mom, Melania's arms, said excitedly: 'Hi.' 'Barron will hopefully someday be a great entrepreneur,' Donald continued. 'Melania, what do you think?' 'Barron, what do you want to do when you grow up?' she then asked the toddler, who responded with, 'Business.' 'A businessman, that's right, like your daddy,' Melania said. 'And what is Daddy building?' 'House,' little Barron said, as the contestants clapped for him. 'That's pretty amazing. Just 18 months old,' a proud Donald gushed. 'Hopefully he'll do well like [my daughter] Ivanka and [my son] Don Jr. has done.' Donald and Melania welcomed Barron in 2006, and unlike the soon-to-be 47th President of the United States' other kids, he shied away from the spotlight. He was raised in a lavish New York City penthouse apartment and attended an elite private school on the Upper West Side before he moved to Washington, D.C. after his dad was elected president. When Donald left the White House, Barron relocated with his parents to Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida. He graduated from high school in 2024, and his famous father was in the crowd cheering him on during the big moment. He is now attending New York University, and his mom previously described him as an 'incredible young man.' 'I'm very proud of what he grew up to [be]. His strength. His intelligence. His knowledge, his kindness. It's admirable,' she gushed. Barron was noticeably absent during much of Donald's campaign trails in 2016 and 2020, but it was said that he started showing some political nous by urging his father to appear on a number of popular podcasts during his most recent campaign. And following Donald's 2024 win, the teenager took to the stage with his parents at a victory rally. Immediately after his appearance at the event, public fascination with the teenager spiked online – and he soon became one of America's most eligible bachelors. Earlier this week, another video of him as a child went viral on X - and social media users were shocked over the fact that he used to have a Slovenian accent. The clip was filmed for a 2010 special on Larry King Live that Donald and Melania did, and it showed Barron, then four, getting ready to go to school for the first time. 'I have to go to school now?' he asked his mother, speaking with a thick Slovenian accent. Melania then told the youngster: 'Yes, first you will have lunch and then you'll go to school.' 'You can do reading, writing, and arithmetic,' his dad chimed in. 'This obsession with Barron is hilarious...,' the X user captioned the clip, which has now been viewed nearly one million times. 'He had a Slovenian accent,' one stunned user replied. 'Does Barron speak with a Slovenian accent even though he was born and raised in New York because of Melania? That's pretty funny,' someone else wrote. 'The fact that he has a Slovenian accent is sending me,' another user added. 'That's so adorable,' a fourth comment read. 'He sounds like his mom. You can tell she was a very involved mother.' A fifth said, 'My regard for Melania was a mother just went through the roof. 'She had all the money in the world to pass him off to a nanny, but she spent so much time with him that he sounded like her instead of anyone else in his life.' It appears as though Barron doesn't have the accent anymore, as someone else responded with a more recent clip of him speaking, and it was gone.
