HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - The rain is almost out with a few scattered showers expected through the evening with clouds clearing by tomorrow morning. Rainfall amounts from the past 36 hours range from 0.75 inches in northeastern parts of the Tri-Cities to 1.50 inches in southwestern parts of the Tri-Cities. Amounts near 2.00 inches were recorded near the Kansas Nebraska border. Temperatures stay in the low 40's throughout the night in the Tri-Cities and areas east. Western parts of the state can expect waking up in the upper 30's. Warming up tomorrow into the upper 50's as skies clear out, with some reaching the low 60's, just setting up for a beautiful Sunday. Temperatures cool back into the 30's overnight into Monday.

Veteran's Day looks to be much of the same as Sunday with temperatures in the upper 50's and mostly clear skies. Winds stay fairly light but cannot rule out an occasional gust. Windy conditions return Tuesday ahead of a weak cold front that will move through that night. Sustained winds around 20-30 mph can be expected with gusts near 40 mph. Temperatures also return to the low 60's Tuesday afternoon. Tuesday night a weak cold front moves through that will bring with it a chance of some scattered showers into early Wednesday morning.

Breezy conditions continue Wednesday and Thursday as skies clear out Wednesday afternoon leading to clear skies throughout the end of the work week. Temperatures stay in the upper 50's to low 60's to end the week and into the weekend before some cloud cover moves back in next weekend ahead of our next potential storm system. Models vary quite a bit with location and timing, but we do expect a storm system to move through the plains between Saturday night and Monday bringing with it a chance of some widespread rain wherever it ends up.
