Random is probably Domantas Sabonis' favorite word. Given how a random restaurant meeting with a woman changed his life, it wouldn't be a big surprise. The woman went on to become his wife and mother to his basketball legacy. So whenever there's a big night for the Lithuanian, his wife is there to celebrate it.

DeMar DeRozan might have gone home recording game-high points, but it was Sabonis who stole the show on a fiery night against the Raptors. It wasn't just any triple-double that the offensive forward recorded. It was a flawless one, with no misses or turnovers, helping Sabonis to etch his name in the league's history books. He put up 17 points on the Kings' scoreboard, dished out 13 assists to his teammates, and dominated the court with 11 rebounds.

And that was more than enough to impress the missus. Shashana shared the story of her husband's new achievement with her Instagram family along with the caption , "In other news... I told you guys he breaks "world records" every night," followed by smiling emojis.

After featuring in the Netflix docuseries Starting 5, Sabonis embarked on another exciting venture with the $3.2B company, Elle. The Lithuanian edition of the fashion magazine selected the Sabonis family for its cover this month, marking a milestone for the Kings star.

"For the first issue of the magazine," editor Edward Zičkus stated, "We assembled a team of authors gifted with travel genes, who have mixed the breadth of the world and are able to look at travel from an unconventional angle." And they felt the Sabonis family perfectly symbolized their theme. Sabonis' season is certainly off to a good start.

However, Sabonis has remained consistent, averaging 20.3 points per game. The Lithuanian's insane number (13.1) rebounds per game further vouched for his past two seasons' titles as the rebounding leader.

Not only that, Sabonis recorded three triple-doubles, two against the Raptors and the other against the Lakers, within just eight games. Apart from the season opener, he scored a double-double in the other seven games. The 28-year-old has also impressed with his shooting skills, averaging 50% from three-point range and 63% from the field.

If he continues to stuff the stat sheet with such stunning numbers, then the other stars would have to give the MVP title a rest this season. The Sacramento Kings too looked stronger with Sabonis' dominance at both ends of the floor, but unfortunately, they lost three games by narrow margins. Though it may not be considered an elite start, Sabonis' outstanding leadership and standout performances have the potential to drive the team toward its ultimate championship goal.
