Alessandra Ambrosio, 43, reveals diet and exercise regimen to prep for Victoria's Secret Fashion Show return

Alessandra Ambrosio made her triumphant return to the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show stage seven years after announcing her retirement as one of the faces of the brand and show.

The 43-year-old longtime supermodel proudly strutted her stuff on the runway in a very revealing black lingerie ensemble, which included her well-deserved VS wings on her back.

Taking to her Instagram page two days on, the Brazilian beauty — who became a Victoria's Secret Angel in 2004 and retired in 2017 — is now sharing her beauty preps and routine leading up to her surprise comeback.

Off the top of the clip, six days before the show, the catwalk queen shared her excitement in returning to work with Victoria's Secret after a seven-year hiatus.

'A very unique experience and a very unique feeling to know that I am walking in a Victoria's Secret Fashion Show again. I don't think I ever expected, but, you know, life is full of surprises,' she shared while heading to her fashion fitting.

'Fueling my mind and body,' Ambrosio began in the caption of the post. 'Before the main event comes a lot of preparation!! Comment your favorite type of workout.'

Off the top of the clip, Ambrosio dishes about having just finished up doing her nails and then enjoying a light breakfast in the morning, which typically involves eggs and avocado.

On occasion she will add in some bacon to her morning diet but only once in a while.

From there, she heads off to the gym where she will get in lots of cardio, such as running on the treadmill or heading outside for a run.

While at the gym she also works on shaping her body by doing lots of abdominal crunches, as well as plenty of sit-ups and leg lifts.

She also makes use of the cables at the gym by sitting upright to put the focus on her shoulders, and on her back which puts the emphasis on her shoulders in one position and on her chest in another.

The mother of two uses lots of free weights to help with those two areas of her body, along with her arms and legs.

Being one of the most successful fashion models of her era, Ambrosio also likes to use a personal trainer at times to help her with certain exercises and positions .

After her workout Ambrosio 'loves to make a protein smoothie low in sugar,' along with various vegetables and fruits to go along with her main diet, which she incorporates for dinner full of lean proteins and vegetables like salmon and asparagus.

Ambrosio was one of the brand's contracted spokesmodels starting in 2004 all the way through 2017, and was the first face of Victoria's Secret Pink before being named one of the brand's prized Angels.

The Erechim, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil native walked in 17 fashion shows for the brand before retiring, and even after all these years, she admits that she still gets nervous butterflies before hitting the runway.

After completing her 18th VSFS earlier this week, Ambrosio shared a few photos from her return to the catwalk along with a message of gratitude.

'What a show! Loved being a part of this magical moment. Thank you and all the angels for making this evening an unforgetable one #vsfashionshow #vsfs24.'
