Alex Palczewski reportedly suffered high-ankle sprain in win vs. Raiders

Right tackle has been a position the Denver Broncos have struggled to keep healthy through five games this season. Mike McGlinchey went down with a 'significant MCL injury' against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 2 and likely still several weeks away from working back into game action. And now his replacement, Alex Palczewski, also left today's game against the Las Vegas Raiders .

Fortunately for the Broncos, it appears to be a high-ankle sprain with all x-rays coming back negative according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

Despite the initial x-rays coming back negative, those high-ankle sprains can linger sometimes. If Palczewski is slow in coming back to the lineup next week, we might be getting a longer look at rookie Frank Crum. Crum filled in and seemed to play well in that we didn't notice any egregious errors or whiffs in pass blocking.

In any case, until McGlinchey is back, we'll need to monitor Palczewski's progress with this injury starting Wednesday and throughout the week.
