Allowee (Heiner) Briggs passed away in Mapleton, Utah, on September 12, 2024. Allowee was born July 16, 1923, in Morgan, Utah, to Henry Heiner and Margaret Robison Heiner. Allowee is survived by her sons, Scott (Betty), Cordell (Starla); and daughter, Marcene (Burke Hamilton). Allowee was preceded in death by her husband, Jack; daughter, Valaine; and her three brothers and two sisters.

Allowee and Jack were married in Manila, Utah in 1940, and later sealed in the LDS Temple in Salt Lake City, Utah. They ranched in McKinnon, Wyo. before moving to Dell, Mont. in 1949 to establish a cattle ranch with Jack's father, his three brothers, and their families.

In 1979, the couple retired to Polson, Mont., and started a legacy of raising and canning cherries. Allowee was a talented ceramics painter who shared her finished projects with friends and family, and taught classes to many people over the years. She loved her popcorn, Diet Coke, and peanut M&Ms.

Allowee served in many capacities in the Lima Branch of the LDS Church, including Relief Society President. Allowee was a member of the Community Concert Committee in both Dillon and Polson that brought cultural and musical experiences to all residents. Jack and Allowee started to enjoy their winters in Saint George, Utah in 1998. In St. George, Allowee delighted in her service in the LDS Temple.

Allowee and Jack celebrated their 77th wedding anniversary in 2017. Allowee enjoyed 11 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

A viewing was held on September 19, 2024, at the Berg Mortuary in Provo, Utah. Graveside services will be held on October 11, 2024, at 1 p.m., at the Mountain View Cemetery at 934 Sweetwater Road in Dillon, Mont.
